In a linear pair one angles is three times the other then the angles are ?

x = one angle
3x = other angle

x + 3x = 180 {linear pairs add up to 180}
4x = 180 {combined like tems}
x = 45 {divided each side by 4}
3x = 135 {substituted 45, in for x, into 3x}

45 and 135 are the two angles
