How many solutions are there to this equation,-3(v + 4) = 2v - 37 ?

One.

-3(v + 4) = 2v - 37
-3v - 12 = 2v - 37   {used distributive property}
-3v = 2v - 25   {added 12 to each side}
-5v = -25   {subtracted 2v from each side}
v = 5   {divided each side by -5}
