Find the 60th term of the arithmetic sequence -14, -25, -36, .....
An arithmetic sequence is a sequence with a common difference. When you go from -14 to -25 to -36 to ...., you are subtracting 11 each time. The 60th term would be found by starting with -14 and subtracting 11, fifty-nine times.
= -14 - 11(59) {started with -14 and subtracted 11 fifty-nine times} = -14 - 649 {multiplied} = -663 {subtracted} Here is another example:
