Working with Exponents
How do you write 32x5y5 with only one exponent and
have everything within one set of parentheses?
How would you simplify this?
-9n + 5(5n - 3)
How would you solve these inequalities?
8x – 12 ≤ -7 and x – 2 ≥ 6
How do you multiply these with the foil method?
(-3t - 5v)(-4t - 4v)
Translate into an Equation
How would you make this into an equation and solve it?
“A number x is five more than two times x – 3.”
How do you find the coordinates of the x intercept for this equation?
-x + 5y = -15
Converting to Slope-Intercept Form
How do you convert this equation into slope-intercept form?
4x - 12y = 16
How do you factor these:
1.) 2x² + 5x
2.) x² - 81
3.) 9x² - 25
How do you evaluate this?
7(5 - 2)² - 6(6)
Explain Combining Like Terms
You can add 4x to 8x because 4x is 4 x’sand 8x is 8x’s,
which is 4x’s + 8x’s to get 12 x’s or 12x.
But why can't you add 4x² + 2x? I don't understand why you can't
add a squared variable to the same letter that isn't squared.
