What is the start value?

On Thursday, Destiny bought a plant that was 12 inches tall. On Friday (Day 1) she noticed the plant was 19 inches tall, and on Saturday she measured the plant and it was 26 inches tall. On Sunday the plant was 33 inches tall! Crazy plant!  What is the start value for this situation?

The start value is the value of y, when x is zero.

If x is the number of days, and y is the height of the plant,
then the height of the plant at day zero (when she brought it home), would be the start value.
