5lbs of chocolate contains 10 tablespoons of sugar. How many tablespoons of sugar would be in 8lbs of chocolate?
I would set up a proportion....and a blender.
5lbs of chocolate contains 10 tbsp of sugar 8 lbs of chocolate contains x tbsp of sugar 5x = 80 {cross-multiplied} x = 16 {divided each side by 5} 16 tbsp of sugar is what 8 lbs of chocolate would contain. Another way is that you could’ve noticed the 10 tbsp of sugar is two times the 5 lbs of chocolate. Just like the 16 tbsp of sugar would be two times the 8 lbs of chocolate. I’ll take a sample, but I’m not cleaning up. Ask the House
