Which expression is equivalent to  (2x² + 3)(x + 4) ?
A.)  2x³ + 12
B.)  2x² + 11x + 12
C.)  2x³ + 6x² + 4x + 12
D.)  2x³ + 8x²  + 3x + 12

When multiplying two binomials, use the FOIL method, which has the same result as the distributive property with respect to multiplying two binomials.

(2x² + 3)(x + 4)
= 2x²(x) + 2x²(4) + 3(x) + 3(4)   {used FOIL method / distributive property}
=  2x³ + 8x² + 3x + 12   {multiplied through}

D.)  2x³ + 8x² + 3x + 12
