What is (2√10)²?

You could think about this in two different ways:

(2√10)²

= (2√10)(2√10) {multiplied by itself}

= 4√100 {multiplied}

= 4(10) {evaluated square root of 100}

=

**40**{multiplied}

Could have also done this:

(2√10)²

= 2² (√10)² {squared each item in parentheses}

= 4(10) {evaluated exponents}

=

**40**{multiplied}
