How would you solve this for x?

√(6x – 6) = √(8x – 10)

√(6x – 6) = √(8x – 10)

Just square both sides....if you do that, the square root signs disappear.

6x - 6 = 8x - 10 {square both sides}

-2x = - 4 {subtract 8x and add 6 to both sides}

x = 2 {divide both sides by -2}
