1.) Complication: I have so much homework to do, but first I'm going to check Twitter and Facebook.
Just do it: Twitter and Facebook are not necessary. A "check" will turn into wasted hours. Turn them off, or put your phone at the other end of the house......
2.) Complication: I'm nervous about giving this speech. I'm worried what they'll think or that I might mess up and look like a fool.
Just do it: Prepare hard. If you spend more time preparing than you do worrying, your speech will be excellent. Also, if 20 people in the class are scheduled to give a speech, they're not all focused on yours. Likely, they're worrying about giving their own or, sorry to say, simply not paying any attention to yours. If you have a choice, go first, while they are still worrying about giving their own.
3.) Complication: I have so many things to do, and people just keep giving me more and more.
Just do it: If people are asking you to do things, this is good, because it means they think you can get them done, but the word "no" is your best tool, at times, and don't be afraid to use it. Also, eliminate the social distractions, soon they will not matter. Delete your Twitter, Facebook, and other social media accounts and be amazed at the time you have to accomplish what truly matters.
4.) Complication: The house is a disaster. I have clutter all over. I'll never get it all organized.
Just do it: Grab the trash can and fill it up. Don't try to organize stuff you don't use, or else you'll be doing it over and over again. Get rid of it.
5.) Complication: I'm so lost. I'll never get it. The teacher isn't any good. I'm going to fail.
Just do it: Ask questions. Use internet sites like this one, as a tutor. Go to school every day. Take notes. Do all of the assignments. Study for tests. Take it seriously. All simple things. Your education determines your future. No one will remember your excuses. What you get done, now, is the only thing that matters.
6.) Complication: I want to get in shape, but....... I want to get better grades, but...... I want to eat healthier, but..... I want to quit my addiction, but.....
Just do it: A week, month, year, or 10 years from now, you'll wish you would have started today. Cut the but, and just do it, now!
