How do you find the slope and y-intercept out of this equaiton?
5x + 3y = 9
5x + 3y = 9
Slope-intercept form is y = mx + b
m is the slope {number in front of x}
b is the y-intercept {number without a variable}
5x + 3y = 9
3y = -5x + 9 {subtracted 5x from both sides}
y = (-5/3)x + 3 {divided both sides by 3}
slope = - 5/3
y-intercept = 3
